B Praak Criticizes Ranveer Allahbadia's

In a recent turn of events, popular singer B Praak has called out YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia over his controversial comments made during an episode of the show India’s Got Latent. The singer, known for his chart-topping hits, has not only condemned Allahbadia’s inappropriate remarks but has also canceled an upcoming appearance on his podcast, Beer Biceps, citing a deep concern over the YouTuber’s “pathetic thinking.”

The Backlash Against Ranveer Allahbadia

The controversy began when Ranveer Allahbadia, in a conversation with comedian Samay Raina on India’s Got Latent, made derogatory comments that many deemed offensive. His remarks, which included inappropriate jokes about his parents and the culture he was brought up in, sparked outrage among viewers and the wider online community.

While Allahbadia issued an apology in a video message, it did little to quell the storm of criticism that flooded social media platforms. Many viewers took to the comments to express their dissatisfaction, accusing the YouTuber of being disrespectful and insensitive.

B Praak’s Strong Stand

Amid the ongoing uproar, B Praak, who had been slated to appear on Beer Biceps, posted a video message on his Instagram in which he vocally condemned Ranveer’s words. In the message, the singer expressed his disapproval in no uncertain terms, stating, “I was supposed to appear on a podcast, on Beer Biceps, and we cancelled that. Why? Since we are all seeing how pathetic his thinking is. The choice of words that he has used on Samay Raina’s show.”

The singer further stated that the comments made by Allahbadia were not representative of Indian culture. In a heartfelt plea, B Praak remarked, “Ye humara Indian culture nahi hai. Ye humara culture hi nahi hai. Ap apne parents ke kaun si story bata rahe ho? Ap unki kaun si baatein kar rahe ho? Ye comedy hain? This is not at all comedy. Logo ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana, ye kaun si generation… mereko samajh hi nahi aa raha.”

Translating this into English, B Praak questioned Allahbadia’s choice of words and said, “This is not our Indian culture. What story are you telling about your parents? What are you even talking about them? Is this comedy? You are abusing people, teaching them how to abuse… I fail to understand this generation.”

Call for Responsibility in Content Creation

Further emphasizing his disapproval, B Praak took issue with the disconnect between Ranveer’s content and the values he claims to promote. The singer pointed out the irony of Allahbadia preaching spirituality on his podcast, while simultaneously endorsing humor that he viewed as harmful and irresponsible. Praak urged Allahbadia and his peers in the entertainment industry to reconsider the kind of influence they wield, calling for content that better represents Indian culture and values.

B Praak concluded his message by expressing concern over how such content might negatively impact the younger generation, requesting that more thought be given to the content produced and shared on public platforms.

A Broader Backlash and Legal Action

The controversy has not only caught the attention of viewers but has also drawn the ire of political figures. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis commented that while freedom of expression is important, it has its limits. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi announced that she would be raising the issue in Parliament.

A formal complaint has been lodged against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, and the organizers of India’s Got Latent. The complaint accuses them of making inappropriate and offensive content, triggering legal scrutiny.

Conclusion

B Praak’s strong response to the controversy serves as a reminder of the responsibility that content creators have in shaping public discourse. While freedom of speech is a right, it is essential to recognize the power of media in influencing attitudes, particularly among impressionable audiences. As the debate continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether this will prompt wider discussions on the impact of digital content on social values and Indian culture.
